The NH Spartans basketball organization was founded on the principle of teaching youth players the fundamentals of the game. Our goal is to improve the overall talent in the state through skill development at an early age. The NH Spartans and Lady Spartans have produced many winning teams both at the State, Regional and National level. Many of their players have gone on to play at the collegiate level.

The organization was created in March of 2003 by head director Chris Coates. Coach Coates is an accomplished native basketball player. He was a High School All-American at Winnacunnet high school in Hampton, NH and an All-American at Keene State College where he is the second leading scorer in school history. His basketball talent took him overseas where he competed as a professional player and professional coach. He was recently inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of fame, Little East Conference basketball Hall of Fame and the Keene State College Basketball Hall of Fame.

What makes the Spartans basketball program the largest and most successful private basketball program in the state is the depth of the coaching staff. The Spartans coaching staff is the best in the business. We have coaches who are former Division 1 college coaches, ex-professional players, ex-collegiate players and current and former high school coaches. Our staff truly cares about the development of their player’s skills, self-confidence and well-being. We care about the development of the complete player.
